About me
Kathy Jo Stäheli, AD, AYT, PKT began her yoga journey in 1996, completing her first teacher training and internship in traditional Hatha Yoga in 1998. Over nearly 30 years, she has deepened her practice through advanced training as Ayurveda Yoga Therapy, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and more.
Her path in Ayurvedic medicine and Yoga led her to India, where she completed multiple internships with renowned Ayurvedic doctors and Yoga teachers in clinics, hospitals, and retreat centers, honing her expertise in Yoga Therapy, Panchakarma and Ayurvedic healing. Kathy Jo also worked and studied with esteemed institutions like Kerala Ayurveda Academy and Bastyr University, where she contributed as both a practitioner and global business development manager, bringing Ayurvedic education and resources to the U.S.
As a NAMACB-certified Ayurvedic Doctor, she has held leadership roles within the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, and is currently chairing the Panchakarma Committee. She is the founder of Purusha Ayurveda Wellness and Panchakarma Retreat Center, where she integrates her extensive knowledge and compassionate care to guide clients toward balance and rejuvenation through the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.
