I guide participants to see subtle dynamics of light at play- to seeing the world in an elusively obvious way. The practice of painting outdoors is an abandoning of preconceptions & of elevating our awareness. This session is not focused on creating excellent art, rather, this is a process of using paint to enhance our perception for subtleties of light & form. Learning to see is learning to paint; Excellence flows after understanding is internalized. Paint alongside me & nurture your presence/awareness relationship with your very perception, & the world we walk. You just may see the world in new ways that will forever evolve over our lifetime.

Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga, has traditionally added a healing aspect to the practice of yoga. The natural melding of the practices of the two sciences have been separated over time for many reasons, including the occupation of India by the British, who severely curtailed Ayurveda. As yoga has spread into the west and research into its effectiveness in our health paradigm has increased, more and more scholars are rediscovering this connection. Having been at the forefront of this movement, in this workshop we will share how the two together enhance our health and well-being. This workshop will include both lecture and practice. The practice will be for all levels of practitioners.
